Clash: how card battles work

Clash is card battles against your friends, played through a link you send in a group chat. A better card helps, but good timing can beat it.

A battle, round by round

You pick one of your cards and play three rounds, one for each of its stats. In each round a needle sweeps across a meter, faster each round, and you tap to stop it. The closer to the middle it stops, the more your stat is multiplied:

Where the needle stopsYour stat is multiplied byA stat of 70 scores
PERFECT×1.498
GREAT×1.2588
GOOD×1.177
OK×0.963
MISS×0.642

Each round goes to the higher score, or to the higher stat if the scores tie. Whoever wins two of the three rounds wins the battle; if that doesn’t settle it, the higher total does.

Challenge a friend

  1. Open the Clash tab, choose Challenge a friend, pick a card and play your three rounds.
  2. You get a link to send in a group chat (or a code to paste).
  3. Your friend opens it, picks one of their cards and plays three rounds against your score. If they’re new to glint.skin, they open their first pack and then fight back.
  4. Their result comes back to you as a reply link. Opening it shows how each round went, who won and how your rating changed, and a rematch is one tap away.

Your progress lives in your browser, so open the reply in the same browser you sent the challenge from.

Rating and ranks

Everyone starts with a rating of 1,000. Each battle with a friend moves it by the Elo formula, by up to 32 points, so beating a friend with a higher rating earns more than beating one with a lower one.

What Clash pays

Practice against the bot any time: it brings a card close to yours, and practice never changes your rating.

The leaderboards

While glint.skin is new, Top Cards also has computer players so the board is never empty. They’re always marked BOT, they pull from the same packs and odds as everyone, and there are no prizes on the board. You can hide yourself from the leaderboards in Settings.
