About glint.skin
glint.skin turns any picture into a holo trading card, drawn in real 3D, with a free pack every day, two daily guess-the-game puzzles and card battles against your friends.
Who runs it
Hi, I’m the person behind glint.skin. I also post short meme videos on YouTube, at @Short--Memes, and glint.skin is the game that goes with them: the code at the end of each Short is for here.
I wanted it to be a game I’d be happy for anyone watching to play, whatever their age: a free pack every day, nothing random for sale, no chat, and your pictures kept on your own device unless you choose otherwise.
It’s an independent game. Who runs it, with a postal address, is in the Terms, as the law asks, and Contact is how to reach me.
How it’s made
- It all runs in your browser. There’s nothing to install and no account to make, and it works on phones, tablets and computers.
- Real 3D. Cards are drawn with WebGL: each is a slab with a bevelled edge, a glossy face and a holo foil that catches the light as it tilts. Opening a pack and levelling a card up are 3D scenes, lit like a studio shoot. On a phone without 3D, the game draws the same cards flat.
- Made on your device. Your pictures are laid out for the card and drawn on your own phone or computer, and stay there unless you turn on cloud save.
- Every sound is made in the page, layered and tuned so it sounds right even through a phone speaker. Nothing is downloaded, and there’s a mute button.
- The looks are drawn by code, not loaded as pictures, so a foil, frame, background or animated aura looks the same on the page, in 3D and in the pictures and clips you share.
- The guides’ numbers come from the game. The odds, prices, rewards, ranks, looks and past puzzle answers on these pages are filled in from the game’s own code each time the site is published, so they match what you see when you play.
The Shorts
The Shorts go out on YouTube, at @Short--Memes, and every Short ends with a code: three a day, typed into the box on Today. Two give shards and the third a bonus pack. You don’t need them to play, but they’re free.
The name is the address: anyone who sees glint.skin at the end of a Short, on a shared card or in a clip knows exactly what to type.
What glint.skin promises
- A free pack every day, and two free puzzles.
- Nothing random for sale. Shards never buy packs, and the odds are the same for everyone.
- Your pictures stay yours, and stay on your device unless you choose cloud save.
- No chat, a word filter on every name, and reports and blocking in two taps. See For parents.
- Plain terms. The Terms and privacy policy are short bullets written for teens and their parents, and they describe what the game actually does.
